Yuhnhi hum chalte gaye aur karvan banta gaya

The intent is to begin the journey to piece together a blog that captures all the good things that various people in this world are doing. We need a dose of goodness, hope, and inspiration to do the right thing. I hope by bringing together the positive things that people are doing and are capable of doing, I may create a place that helps people seeking help and inspires others to become part of this journey.

The impetus comes from words uttered by my paternal grand uncle. In agriculture if there are many small streams of water running in different directions, they dry up after some time; but if all these are brought together they make a stream that is big enough to keep the entire field supplied with water.

Like our bodies our minds and soul also need cleansing. Let us regain the lightness of the soul and the freedom of spirit. Contribute pointers to all the ongoing good work that will be sustained and continued.

Let me start with a tribute Shri. Baba Amte. Even in today's world he lived with the idealism that we have given up for dead. To learn the work being done go to http://mss.niya.org/index.php and to learn more about him visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baba_Amte

The the philanthropic organizations/foundations supported by corporates/corporate entities.
http://www.azimpremjifoundation.org/ - This as name suggests is by Azim Premji the Chairman of Wipro.
http://www.elfun.org - GE's philanthropic arm.
http://www.infosys.com/infosys_foundation/index.htm - Infosys foundation. It does quite a lot of work for the needy people in most parts of India and especially in Northern Karnataka region.

By the way if one gets opportunity it is worthwhile reading Sudha Murthy's articles in Kannada Prabha. My mother reads and keeps telling me heart warming stories that show the bright & dark side of human nature.
